AHC is a small consultancy, not a big agency. Driven by helping to advance health and community services organisations and the industries contribution more broadly, we are low on rhetoric and high on passion, commitment, and substance. Our strengths have been developed through 20 years working within the human services industry. This experience enables us to have a unique insight and appreciation of the complexities within organisations as well as broader industry reforms, policies, and funding, and how these impact on how organisations function.

The tree pictured on the front page of our website is a fractal image. When you look closely you notice that each part resembles a whole tree. This ‘self-similarity’ is characteristic of fractals which are created by repeating a simple mathematical process. These images, often beautiful, demonstrate how even simple processes, when repeated often enough, can result in structures of infinite complexity. Sometimes our work and workplaces feel the same way.
We listen closely to understand different environments and needs, and to develop strong and productive relationships that we build from. Whilst we take our work (and that of organisations) seriously, we bring a sense of lightness and fun to our approach, and ultimately strive to make your job easier through our contribution.
Our work is tailored to each circumstance and brief, using our core capabilities in the areas of strategy, network and relationship management, engagement, workforce, organisation development, and service design.
About Alisa
Alisa brings practice, management, and leadership experience across a range of health, aged care, and community care organisations within Queensland and the United Kingdom. She has particular insight and passion for the role and contribution of non-government (for-profit and not-for-profit) agencies in the broader human services system and enjoys opportunities to continue to build and strengthen their participation in health and community care.
Passionate and energetic, Alisa approaches work with a combination of curiosity, pragmatism, responsiveness, and thoughtfulness. She brings a sense of fun and is motivated by working with others to create ideas, push boundaries, and achieve meaningful change no matter how big or small. Her interests are varied and include women’s participation in the workforce, particularly in leadership roles and capacities; the power of collaboration and partnerships as a new way of working; the integration of research and evidence into practice (implementation science); and the scope and contribution of the primary health care sector.
Our work with Alisa included some big tasks including working with board, staff and key stakeholders to assist us in developing our Strategic and Operational Plans. What I appreciated most in working with Alisa was the lightness with which she covered some heavy ground, kept everyone happy, and delivered what you’d expect and then a lot more. We continue to seek her assistance for various applications and value her knowledge of the sectors we engage with. Cherylee Treloar, CEO Footprints
